Hello my name is Eteuati Pili, also known as Eddie. I was born in American Samoa but moved to the beautiful state of Honolulu, Hawaii when I was 10 years old. Growing up I didn’t have a good relationship with my dad so by the time I was in 11th grade, I ended up joining the crip gang where I got the attention I needed. I use to fight guys older than me, rob stores, and take my anger out on everyone. I was in and out of jail so the last time, the judge ordered me to move out of the state of Hawaii for 7 years. With that news I chose to move to AK because I knew my sister was there. My wife and 2 sons followed but it wasn’t until after 16 years here I finally started to turn my life around. In ‘93 I adopted my daughter and my family was finally complete. I spent 22 years of my life coaching the youth at a young age until they went to High school and repeated the process. As I spent time coaching I also taught the kids to be respectful, stay on the right path and to not follow mine. Being here at House of Transformation gives me a chance to coach again and support the individuals the way I wish I could have had it.
